Some downtown operations may be possible, but approval is never based on the neighborhood name alone. The exact address, airspace, requested altitude, street activity, nearby buildings, and proposed path must all be reviewed.
We provide aerial coverage for concerts, festivals, sporting events, corporate gatherings, and broadcast productions, subject to location and operating requirements. Angel City Aerials holds FAA waivers permitting certain operations over people when the applicable waiver conditions are met. These are not blanket permission to fly over any crowd; each event requires an individual review of the aircraft, flight path, airspace, venue, and safety arrangements.
Wind, fog, visibility, and precipitation can affect both safety and image quality. When weather threatens a scheduled flight, we review the conditions and communicate whether the operation should proceed, be adjusted, or be rescheduled.
A nearby airport does not automatically rule out a drone shoot, but the exact address, airspace, and requested altitude matter. Flights in controlled airspace require FAA authorization, and approved operations may have altitude limits or other conditions. We evaluate the location before confirming what can be captured. We have experience flying near busy airports, including completing one of the first shoots in LAX airspace.
